4557. A FINE EGYPTIAN CARTONAGE PANEL. Late-Ptolemaic Period ca. 6th-1st century BC. The panel vividly painted with a winged scarab holding the sun disc, the Goddess Mut below. 10.5 x 12.5 inches. A little professional repair. Very nice example with superior figures.



4558. AN EGYPTIAN CARTONAGE PANEL FRAGMENT. Late-Ptolemaic Period ca. 6th-1st century BC. The panel painted with the wing of a scarab or Goddess. 4 x 4.25 inches. Nice paint.



4559. AN EGYPTIAN SILVER HARPOCRATES, ca. 1st millennium BC. Small solid silver image of the boy god with finger to lips, small animal (falcon?) to his side. 28 mm. Excellent condition. Very rare. Stands freely on integral base.



4746. AN EXCEPTIONAL VERY LARGE HOLY LAND STORAGE JAR, ONE OF A MATCHING PAIR. Bronze age, ca. 2nd millennium BC. The large spherical jar with flat base and wide neck with everted rim. 19 x 20.5 inches. Completely intact with calcitic deposits ensuring authenticity. Extremely rare.



4747. AN EXCEPTIONAL VERY LARGE HOLY LAND STORAGE JAR, ONE OF A MATCHING PAIR. Bronze age, ca. 2nd millennium BC. The large spherical jar with flat base and wide neck with everted rim. 19 x 20 inches. Completely intact with lime deposits ensuring authenticity. Extremely rare.



4568. A VERY RARE LARGE HOLY LAND EARLY BRONZE AGE BOWL, ca. 3rd millennium BC. The large thin-walled bowl of hemispheric form with flattened base and turned out rim, a band of numerous vertical incised hatch marks around the neck, five small lug handles. 8.75 x 13.5 inches. Flakes on rim otherwise intact. To find such very early large Holy Land pottery in a choice intact condition is extremely rare.



4569. A RARE LARGE HOLY LAND EARLY BRONZE AGE BOWL, ca. 3rd millennium BC. The large thin-walled bowl of hemispheric form with flattened base and slightly turned out rim, a band of numerous incised hatch marks around the neck. 7 x 11 inches. Intact but for rim flakes and with calcite deposits attesting authenticity. To find such very early large Holy Land pottery in a choice intact condition is extremely rare.



4570. A RARE LARGE HOLY LAND EARLY BRONZE AGE BOWL, ca. 3rd millennium BC. The large thin-walled bowl of hemispheric form with flattened base and two small ear shaped handles, a very unusual incised oval with eight interior dots on one side. 6.5 x 11.5 inches. Intact with rim flakes. To find such very early large Holy Land pottery in a choice intact condition is extremely rare.

The large thin-walled bowl of conical form with flattened base and slightly inturn rim, two large ear shaped handles midway up the sides, a pouring spout one side of the rim. 8 x 12.5 inches. Intact with a few rim chips. To find such very early large Holy Land pottery in a choice intact condition is extremely rare.

4574. A HOLY LAND EARLY BRONZE AGE STORAGE JAR, ca. 3rd millennium BC. The sizable jar of oval form with flattened base and everted rim, two small handles on shoulders. 7 x 7.5 inches. Intact with one rim chip. Rare.



4748. A LARGE CYPRIOT KRATER, ca. 5th-4th century BC. The two handled vessel with twin strap handles from shoulders to rim, with painted bands and linear designs on the handles. 13 x 15 inches. Completely intact. Rare.



4753. A MESOPOTAMIAN BRONZE MIRROR, ca. 2nd millennium BC. The mirror with polished circular face with long flat handle with suspension hole. 3.25 x 6.5 inches. Nice example. Rare.



4754. A RARE MESOPOTAMIAN BRONZE MAGNIFYING MIRROR, ca. 2nd millennium BC. The mirror with polished circular face made with a slight concavity so that it would produce a magnified image. 4.75 x 7.25 inches. Excellent example and very rare testament to the knowledge of magnfying surfaces by the ancients.



4560. A CIMMERIAN BRONZE DAGGER, ca. 7th century BC. The double edged weapon with ring pommel and holes for attachment of handle materials. 10 inches. Tip chipped.



4561. A CIMMERIAN BRONZE KNIFE, ca. 7th century BC. The single edged curved weapon with triple knobbed ring pommel and ribbed handle. 9 inches. Tip chipped.

4564. A MEOTIAN-SARMATION BRONZE MIRROR, ca. 1st-2nd century AD. Of circular form with cruciform ornmament in high relief on the back and suspension hole in rectangular frame. 2.25 x 2.9 inches. Cf. Art Treasures of Ancient Kuban, Catalogue of Exhibition, pg. 138 for similar examples.



4565. A MEOTIAN-SARMATION BONE PYXIS, ca. 1st century AD. With body of oval cross-section with deep original lid with internal suspension holes matching those on the body of the pyxis, the surface with incised animal figures and cruciform designs on top and bottom. 1.5 x 1.3 x 1.3 inches. Intact and in excellent condition. Extremely rare. See Art Treasures of Ancient Kuban, Catalogue of Exhibition, pg. 151 for a pot with very similar incised iconography.



4566. A SCYTHIAN BRONZE BUCKLE, ca. 6th-4th century BC. With openwork depicting a facing bull's head in the center and a vulture's head and another head perhaps of a griffin. 2.75 x 1.9 inches. Cf. Art Treasures of Ancient Kuban, Catalogue of Exhibition, pg. 89 for similar heads. Extremely rare.
