Tiny line in rim and flakes to ring base. And important and rare piece. The rising of the planet Venus regulated the time of ritual warfare in Meso-America. It's appearance as a design motif on pottery, especially with the associated 'Venus warriors' is quite rare. $6500 estimate.

The diskoidal bottle with complex molded scenes both sides with two confronting gods, God L and God K in conversation, a line of glyphs between them most likely providing details of the encounter, additional rows of molded glyphs down the sides providing additional information. 1.2 x 3.5 inches. Small rim flakes. These important bottles are among the rarest and most sought after of Mayan antiquities. An exceptional example with wonderful complex detail.
