Superbly done gesso painting of a yellow saffron crocus on very finely laid artist's paper. 4.5 x 6". A true masterwork rendered with a single hair brush. Must be seen under magnification to be appreciated. Provenance: Acquired at an upscale estate sale in New Jersey in the 1990's by the current owner. There were two paintings in this collection from the same hand, one with the official seal of the Maharaja of Jaipur signed and dated 1910. This one unfortunately does not carry his seal but is clearly by the hand of the same artist. $1400.
