6894. A CHOICE BYZANTINE HOLY WATER AMPULA, ca. 5th-10th century. The small lead vessel cast with handles for suspension around a pilgrim's neck as a protective amulet. 1.8". This is by far the best I've carried as they are invariably crushed and torn, in fact this is the only one I’ve seen on the market without damage. Extremely rare this nice. Minor ancient deposits. On marble stand. Museum quality example. $3000 estimate.

6895. A CHOICE BYZANTINE BONE TRIPTYCH, ca. 10th-12th century. The central panel with Christ blessing the emperor, two angels on the side panels. When closed the front panels display two female saints. 1.75 x 3.75 inches. Breaks to hinges, otherwise choice condition with wonderful carving. Extremely rare and desirable. $2750 estimate.

6897. A PAIR OF BYZANTINE EARRINGS, c. 10th-12th cent. With remains of gilding and colored paste inlays. 25mm. Attachment loops lost but would be splendid with matching modern suspension loops. Similar in style to several in the recent Byzantine exhibition at the Met. $400 estimate.
