The 22K gold ring set with an 8 x 6mm (approximately 1+ carat) stunning cornflower blue faceted sapphire (this is a Montana Sapphire...some of the world's nicest sapphires come from Montana. England's Royal family has had Montana sapphires set into their finest jewelry for over 100 years). On the sides are two 2mm diamonds, one under each leaf. The setting is a medieval style scalloped bezel, as seen on many jeweled book covers and goblets. This ring is not an exact copy of any existing ring, but based on styles of the period. Inside is an inscription engraved in calligraphy that says, "Pensez de moy" in old French which was taken from a geniune posy ring and means "Think of me". Size 5 1/2; 4.2 grams. SOLD.
