Collection L coins are finally for sale. Long in my personal collection I’ve finally decided to begin parting with them as part of my retirement. Please feel free to make reasonable offers on any of interest. The Roman collection concentrates on including at least one coin for every Roman emperor, family member or official whose likeness appeared on a coin during or closely contemporaneous to his or her lifetime. It also includes a few other coins of especially artistic style or interesting types. Red or black dots preceding a name in the menus indicates the collection does not yet include a coin for that person.
The Greek collection is more eclectic. Concentrating mainly on Hellenistic portrait tetradrachms of Seleucid, Ptolemaic, Bactrian and other rulers, it also includes a number of mainly silver issues of particular interest or happenstance. And it also includes a number of larger Greek bronzes of Magna Graecia from the 1907 Thomas Virzi collection.
There are a few later Byzantine and World coins included as well, mainly those issued by famous rulers, or of types of particular interest to the collector.
