7410. AN ISLAMIC GREEN GLASS INGOT FRAGMENT, c. 7th-12th century AD. The ingot with partial Islamic stamp one end, also 3 heavy green glass fragmentary vials from manufactured from the same glass. Such ingots were how glass was originally formed for transport to the glassware manufacturer's location. To 3 inches. Interesting group illustrating ancient history of glassmaking. It is rare to find such ingots as nearly all were converted into bottles.
