4680. AN EXCEPTIONAL LARGE CHORRERA OFFERING BOWL. Columbia, ca. 1800-300 BC. The large bowl with quadripod legs and eight large flat petal-like extensions, the bowl and extensions all with black, red and cream resist designs. 4 x 13.75 inches. Professional repair to 'petals'. Very rare and desirable early Pre-Columbian art.



4681. A FINE CHORRERA VESSEL WITH MULTIPLE HEADS. Columbia, ca. 1800-300 BC. The vessel with seven upward facing heads with incised features, perhaps trophy heads, protruding from the shoulder, the body burnished red, the spout gray. 5.5 x 7 inches. Excellent example. Very rare and desirable early Pre-Columbian art.



4682. A RARE TUMACO-LA TOLITA POTTERY PHALLUS, ca. 300 BC. The erect male member with hollow body and swollen head, molded ring around base of head extending to turgid ureter running the length below. 4.5 length. Very rare. See 'Tumaco', by Yves Sabolo, p. 220-221 for similar examples. On custom stand.



4683. A LARGE CALIMA/TUMACO-LA TOLITA STAMP SEAL. Columbia/Ecuador ca. 300 BC. The large seal with deeply molded pattern with projecting handle at rear. 3 x 6.5 inches. Intact and choice. Quite rare, one of the largest examples I've carried. Scarce. See 'Tumaco', by Yves Sabolo, p. 147 for the type.



4684. A FINE JAMACOQUE POLYCHROME FIGURAL VESSEL, ca. 500 AD. The vessel in the form of a seated high status priest or ruler with large ornate headdress and wearing a feathered robe. Most of original blue and orange polychrome remaining. 2.5 x 2.5 x 5.5 inches. Repair to back. Very rare this nice, a choice example.



4685. A RARE JAMACOQUE MOTHER AND CHILD, ca. 500 AD. The mother with high headdress, large necklace and loincloth hoding her child on her lap. Remains of polychrome. 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Choice and rare example of maternal love.

4689. A RARE SINU TALL PEDESTAL OFFERING DISH. Columbia, ca. 800-1500 AD. The large offering dish with incised rhomboid designs on the pedestal. 9.5 x 13.5 inches. Professional repair. Very rare.



4690. A CHOICE NARINO COQUERO. Columbia, Capuli Complex, 850-1500 AD. The male seated on a bench with wad of coca leaves in right cheek and holding a cocoa pot, a sash over his left shoulder, the whole burnished red with black designs. 4.25 x 5 x 8 inches. An exceptional very rare and choice example. An intact museum quality piece.

4695. CHIMU DOUBLE CHAMBERED VESSEL WITH CAT, Ca. 1200 AD. Double globular burnished blackware vessel connected at base and with bridge spout. One chamber has seated cute feline with tail uncurled across handle and he also holds a small object to mouth. 5.5 x 6 inches. Ex. New York Private Collector. Intact with small rim flake at spout. Rare and nice.



4696. CHIMU DOUBLE CHAMBERED WHISTLING VESSEL WITH BIRD, Ca. 1200 AD. Double globular burnished blackware vessel connected at base and with bridge spout. One chamber has seated bird with whistle which sounds as pot is filled. 6.5 x 8 inches. Ex. New York Private Collector. Good signs of age. Intact with small rim flake at spout. Rare and nice.

4698. A CHIRIQUI TRIPOD. Panama, Barilles, ca. 1200-1500 AD. The tripod legs with rattles. 7 x 7 inches. One leg reattached. Cf. See Disselhoff & Linne, fig. 72.2 for the type.



4699. A FINE COLIMA DOG. Mexico, ca. 200 AD. The charming plump puppy in an alert pose with ears pricked, his tail doubling as a spout, the whole with a burnished reddish black surface with incised facial detail. 5.25 x 8 inches. Choice intact and excellent example.



4700. A RARE COLIMA BONDAGE FIGURE. West Mexico, ca. 100 BC - 300 AD. Nude terracotta female with prominent genitals strapped to a pallet. 5.75 inches. One small sections of bonds neatly reattached. Choice otherwise intact example with remains of pigment. Rare.

4706. A RARE COLIMA/PHIMUCO URINATING FIGURE. West Mexico, ca. 100 BC - 300 AD. Nude figure with penis with hole that urinates when liquid is poured into the opening at top, wonderfully rendered with arms akimbo and straining look on his face. 7 inches. Extremely rare, museum quality.



4707. A CHOICE LARGE SAN JUANITO FEMALE FIGURE. Jalisco, West Mexico, ca. 600 AD. The large female figure seated with prominent breasts with protruding nipples, her hands outspread, the burnished cream surface with additonal red and brown designs. 14 inches. Rare and choice with expert repair to base area. Museum quality.



4708. A FINE JALISCO 'SHEEP FACED' FIGURE. West Mexico, ca. 600 AD. The female figure seated with with legs to one side, the breasts prominent, wearing a skirt and ornaments, her hands on her lap, the burnished red surface with additional white and black details. 6 inches. A very nice figure in a very unusual and very realistic seated posture.



4709. A FINE NAYARIT WARRIOR WITH CLUB. Mexico, ca. 300 AD. The seated warrior wearing plumed helmet and loin cloth and holding a club in his right hand, considerable white designs remaining. 9.5 inches. Warrior figures are quite rare and desirable.



4710. A FINE NAYARIT GOURD POT. Mexico, ca. 300 AD. The sizable pot with molded protrusions mimicing a gourd, the whole with burnished red, cream and orange rhomboid designs on the protrusions. 5.5 x 7 inches. Small rim chip restored, otherwise intact. Better than photo which is out of focus.



4711. A FINE NAYARIT GOURD POT. Mexico, ca. 300 AD. The pot with molded ribs on the upper half mimicing a gourd, the whole with burnished red, cream, black and orange designs. 4.25 x 6 inches. Tiny rim flake, otherwise intact. Excellent example.



4712. A NAYARIT POT. Mexico, ca. 300 AD. The sizable pot with spherical body and everted rim, the surface with burnished red and cream designs. 6.5 x 7.5 inches. Rim chips repaired with small patch. Nice with root marks attesting age. On acrylic ring stand.



4713. A FINE MAYAN FEMALE FIGURE, ca. 6th-8th century AD. The high status female seated cross-legged on a high stool with ornate costume including a jaguar glyph on her left arm, the whole with burnished cream surface. 10 inches. Neat, unobtrusive repair at neck, else intact. A choice and very rare example.



4714. A FINE LARGE MAYAN OFFERING BOWL, ca. 6th-8th century AD. The bowl of heavy, solid fabric with tripod legs, very precisely painted with red and black designs on cream ground. 4.25 x 12.25 inches. Excellent condition. Neatly drilled small 'kill hole' in center. Very impressive.

The cylinder with slightly rounded body from which protrudes a wonderfully rendered head of the wind god with puffed cheeks, an incised ring of glyphs under the rim, the body with large ribs. 7 x 7 inches. Unobtrusive line in rim. An exceptional museum quality piece.



4727. A LARGE MAYAN CYLINDER, ca. 6th-8th century AD. The cylinder with twin rings of glyphs top and bottom framing a finely ribbed body. 6.5 x 8 inches. Intact, fine stable hairlines at rim.

The bowl with finely painted white, cream and brown glyph-like designs. 3.25 x 6.75 inches. Small rim flake. Very rare type. With old presentation tag to museum giving provenance. Museum number in red on bottom.



4734. AN AMAZONIAN CERAMIC FIGURE. Brazil, early 20th century. Karaja Indian Painted Tribal Doll. The seated figure with legs extended and hands to hips. Nice black, orange and cream pigmentation. Size: 7-1/2"H. Condition: chip to foot else intact. Rare.
